In this section, we collaborate with top analytics companies/projects to bring you data analytics and insights focusing on metaverse land investment. This week’s analytics data are from MetaCat, a platform that contains Metaverse Data Analytics and Content Navigation.
- Weekly Metaverse Review
Another week in the metaverse has passed, and it has not been easy for everyone. As we can see from Tables 1 and 2, a total of -15.38% decrease in the Number of Parcel Sales of the blue-chip virtual lands just one week apart. This decrease might not have a total effect, but we are still not seeing any significant improvement from these numbers throughout August.
As we all know, this continuous downward trend is still an effect of the bear market; even though we see our builders continuously developing and building, we are still waiting for another breakthrough.
But also, we are still here to commend that the blue-chip virtual lands’ Average Parcel Prices are doing great compared to last week. If we check Tables 3 and 4, there is a 16.60% increase just a week apart.

📌 This Week’s Significant Land Updates
OthersideMeta
Being the project that surpasses other blue-chip land projects, we can see that OthersideMeta keeps its consistency during the bear market. By checking Table 5, we can see that just a week apart, they only experienced a total of -2.04% in the Number of Parcel Sales. In the histogram, this month has been pretty stable for them, considering that their most recent announcement is still about their Tech Demo.
Tables 6 and 7 are the Total Number of Landlords at the end of each month in OthersideMeta, and we can see a stable trend, which means the number of people entering OthersideMeta even in this bear market is increasing.
Of course, their fame is reasonable considering Otherside Meta is related to Yuga Labs, the creators of BAYC and MAYC, the largest and most popular community in the NFT space. We ask the question, what’s next on the Otherside?
The Sandbox
The Sandbox Game has recently announced its launch of The Alpha Season 3! The Alpha Season 3 will consist of 90+ experiences that will be revealed over 10 weeks, and they claim that this will be their biggest season with 27 experiences from their brand partners such as Snoop Dogg.
Their announcement of The Alpha Season 3 was a surprise last August 17, and as of now, by checking Table 8, we can see that their Number of Parcel Sales has a total of 172.72% increase in just a week apart! A really great traction made just after a few days after the announcement has been made.
Now, taking a look at Table 9, the Total Number of Landlords, we can see an increase even though August has not yet ended, and we still have a few weeks to go to see it go upward. With their recent announcement, things are looking bright as they receive positive feedback and create more possibilities and experiences in their newest season. Check out this article to learn more!

For this week, we are giving the spotlight to Index Game! Index Game is the first Hong Kong metaverse agency officially appointed by The Sandbox and one of Metapoly’s partners. They focus on designing voxel-based NFT assets, building exclusive gaming experiences, and creating LANDs social experiences by setting up hubs, galleries, and more for The Sandbox. One of the amazing things that they do is to provide training opportunities to potential land architects, which means more opportunities for web3 enthusiasts and talents.
With the upcoming launch of The Sandbox Alpha Season 3, they will be having an exhibition and panel discussion with The Sandbox Game, and it is star-studded! Check out their announcement to see their guests and if you’re interested in joining!
🎙Metapoly’s #MetaTalks Thursdays
Another interesting topic that we have during the MetaTalks! Together with our guests Chris from MetaTrekkers, Jeran Miller, and Tobias from Decentrabuild, talked about the evolution of the metaverse and what are the current trends. Metaverse, coming from way back even before Facebook transitioned to Meta, went through different transformations according to the current trends. This topic has been interesting since most IRL businesses are slowly entering the metaverse, which means the space is getting the attention it deserves, and since more people are participating, the existing problems need to be solved.
